Meeting Minutes
Chapter Meeting – September 6, 2011
Place: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by President, Brian
Gagnon, at Casa Carollo, 200 Route 73 North in
Marlton, NJ. This is our usual meeting place. We meet on the first Tuesday of
every other month at 7pm. The next meeting will be on November 1, 2011.
Attendees: Ellen & Brian Gagnon, Joe Gartner, Steve Ingraham, Janet & Al Mastales,
Mike Kurland, Bob Meimbresse, Bill Mullin and Nick

REPORTS(not in order)
President:
Brian opened the meeting by welcoming everyone.
A motion was made by Steve and seconded by Nick to approve the minutes
from the July meeting and they were approved.
Vice President/Advertising: Mike Kurland
Mike reported revenue from ads in The Nautical Mile to date of
$2615.00 with two still to be renewed and several business card ads up for
renewal soon. He will be sending out reminders.

In Bill's absence there was no report.
Membership/Safety/Youth Development/Public Relations: Steve Ingraham
Steve reported that his U-Tube collaboration with Mike is still a
possibility and he plans to follow up with phone calls to new members to touch
base with them and answer any questions.
There will be Youth Judging at our Tuckerton Show on September 10
& 11.
Donations are needed for our donated merchandise table.
Treasurer: Joe Gartner
Joe reported a balance of $6,115.65 in the treasury after adding boat
show registrations and profits from our donated merchandise table sales and
several ad and membership renewals and subtracting expenses for The Nautical
Mile.
After more detail and discussion the report was approved with a motion
made by Mike and seconded by Steve.
Old Business:
Even though the weather was uncomfortably hot at our ISM Show in July
and we expected a larger turnout, Brian and Joe felt it was a good show and we
should do it again next year and we all agreed.
Some of us will attend the ISM Wooden Boat Festival on October 8 and
report back to the membership at the next meeting.
New Business:
The next ACBS meeting (annual) will be at
All members are encouraged to attend these meetings if at all
possible.

A motion was made to adjourn by Steve and seconded by Joe and the meeting
adjourned at approximately 8 pm with general discussions and dinner following.
